Caviar Azovka

All sturgeons are threatened or endangered due to over fishing, poaching, black market trading, and habitat loss. Currently only two sturgeon species are banned from harvesting, Acipenser brevirostrum and Acipenser sturio. Other species are protected by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES). Countries may export caviar if they can prove that in doing so, it is not detrimental to the survival of the species. Caviar Azovka actively supports sturgeon protection, by selecting only environmentally friendly farms that respect worldwide regulations regarding species selection, raising and production.
